I’ve exercise for most of my life and have tried multiple mats, and this is the best I’ve ever had. It has ribbing on both sides, which allows it to grip the floor, so it doesn’t slide out from underneath you. It’s thick enough to allow comfort in all positions, which helps me because I have very little fat on my bottom after having a transplant due to breast cancer and my aorta lies close to my stomach, making it uncomfortable for me to lay on my stomach, but I can do that with this mat. The mat is also a workhorse. The material that it’s made of does not allow it to rip easily despite my rough usage including exercising on it with my shoes. I have never torn a hole in it and I’ve had my mat for over 10 years. This is the second of these mats that I bought because I love it so much. I wish I can find it however in the larger 71 inch length that my first one came in. You will not regret buying this mat. It is worth the extra cost. It has outlived and out performed every other mat I have owned.
