The Earth Elements 5 mm Mat is made with very lightweight, eco-friendly TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) and features dry-grippy traction and an extra-soft texture. This mat features a closed-cell construction that prevents the absorption of moisture, making it easy to keep clean and great for sweaty yogis. Due to the photo-degradable properties of this mat, it should not be left in the sun, extreme heat, or extreme cold for an extended amount of time.

It's grippy but the material is little slippery too. It's smaller than I thought it would be but great for a travel mat.

I really wanted to like this mat because it is eco-friendly, but unfortunately it hasn't met my expectations. The mat is pretty slippery, and I am not someone who gets very sweaty. And, after each use, I can see marks on the mat. I read a review prior to purchasing about the ends not staying flat and hoped that after time it would flatten - unfortunately not the case. I have had the mat for over a month now and no change at all.On the positive side though, it is very light, and is much more comfortable than I had expected. I usually have concerns being on my knees, but haven't had as many issues with this mat.
