Compared to the traditional Mexican blanket this is thinner, and far more expensive. That said it's a great size and shape, soft and lovely. I like that it's all cotton, I was looking for natural fibers without fringe and this fits the bill. I wish Yoga Outlet would stock more colors! After using it for shoulderstand I would say, two of these will equal one "normal" yoga blanket for height/cushioning.
