Mat is grippy enough to stick through a heated vinyasa class, but starts getting slippery midway through classes over 100F or 40% humidity. No worse than a towel at that point, but a bit of a bummer. No cushion whatsoever on the travel mat but definitely light enough to fold in a suitcase so that’s a win.
I’ve never tried other open cell mats so I can’t compare, but I’d still recommend for heated classes and sweaty palms.
