Trends in Yoga Pants - Sexy Yoga Leggings that Rock
In the past ten years, yoga clothing has gone from functional to a full-on fashion bonanza. Today, hundreds of boutique yoga clothing designers are creating Athleisure clothing that's both comfortable and chic.
Are you ready to take your yoga pants to the next level?
Below are all the trends you need to know.
Trend #1 – Two-Tone Leggings
Why be commit to one style of pants when you can be two different styles at the same time, from the front and back? Onzie's two-tone leggings let you embrace both chaos and simplicity.
Trend #2 – Go Sheer
Obviously, we don't want yoga pants that are sheer around the pelvis or seat (cue Lululemon sheer pants disaster from 2013). But mesh fabric below your thigh is now hot and acceptable. If you're ready to sex-up your yoga pants, we recommend Alo's Goddess or Stirrup Leggings that have a semi-sheer leg starting mid thigh.
Not ready to show that much leg? Embrace a slice of mesh, like these Onzie Tuxedo Capris or opt for a subtle sheer ankle, as in these Ascendant Leggings by Alo.
Vimmia's mesh pants get creative with lace, like these Leopard Lace Composure Leggings.
The bold choice of mesh leggings will definitely set you apart from the crowd, so expect to get compliments immediately.
Yet keep in mind that while fun at the studio or out for lunch, this style of pant is harder to dress up for dinner at a nice restaurant.
For day-to-night leggings, we recommend Alo's Glossy Leggings in blue or black leggings by Onzie.
Trend #3 – Cut Outs
Looking to make a statement that's grungy, sexy and unique? Explore Jala Clothing's cut yoga leggings, available in both capri and full-length. Wear them to Wanderlust, yoga class or a rock concert.
A more modest, ankle-only version is available in this style as well.
Our pro tip for both mesh and cut out style leggings is to wash these pants by hand or in a mesh bag so the fabric doesn't snag. (Maybe also make a mental note shave your legs.)
How sexy, sheer, or see-through you want to go with your yoga pants is a personal choice. We say embrace these fun styles and colors while they're on-trend and at least try them on. These playful pants can help unleash your inner goddess and truly fuel a rocking practice.
